We can't read your content — even if we wanted to
The notes, reminders, and relationship details you keep in BERFO are protected before they ever leave your device. What reaches our servers is scrambled, unreadable data. There's no setting for us to flip that would let us peek — the system is simply built so we can't.
You control who can recover your account
If you lose your phone, BERFO gives you a few paths back in — through Apple's own device security, a private recovery phrase only you hold, or a trusted person you choose yourself. Nobody else can recover your account for you, and any recovery attempt notifies your other devices so you always know.
Connections only form when both people agree
There's no public directory or search inside BERFO. You invite someone directly, and they have to accept before any connection exists.
Your data isn't for sale
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use what you write about the people in your life to target you with ads.
