How does pairing work?
You invite someone directly from the app and they accept on their own device. There's no public search or directory — connections only form when both people agree.
What does “zero-knowledge encryption” actually mean?
Your notes and reminders are encrypted on your device before they ever leave it. BERFO's own servers only ever see scrambled data — nobody at BERFO, and nobody who might gain access to our servers, can read what you've written.
What's the difference between Freedom and Plus?
BERFO Freedom is the full core experience, free, with no purchase required. BERFO Plus ($9.99/month or $99/year) adds unlimited relationship history, priority support, and early access to new features.
How do I cancel BERFO Plus?
BERFO Plus is billed through Apple, so it's managed the same way as any other subscription: open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
How do I delete my account or my data?
Email us at support@getberfo.com from the address associated with your account and we'll walk you through deleting your data or closing your account.
What devices does BERFO support?
BERFO currently runs on iPhone with iOS 16 or later. It's not yet available on Android, iPad, or the web.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes — you must be 13 or older to use BERFO.
Is Android coming?
Not yet — we're focused on making the iPhone experience great first. We don't have a timeline to share for Android.
